Hey folks, Harry here... The various enemies and allies of the SUPERMAN project at Warner Brothers have come out of the woodwork the past few days with slings and arrows and batarangs ta boot. There's never been anything, but controversy at Warners in regards to their Superhero Franchises recently, but I've got a few juicy bits about the others for ya.

Moriarty and I (though we're really not talking these days) have had 3 very strong sources communicate the following. First, former Warner Theatrical Poombah, Lorenzo DiBonaventura has under his cape of productions BATMAN YEAR ONE. Now here's the interesting part, when THE FOUNTAIN went the way of the DoDo due to Brad Pitt's ummm decision to go to TROY. It left Aronofsky without his next project. It seems that Lorenzo is fast-tracking Aronofsky's treatment of Frank Miller's BATMAN YEAR ONE and hopes to have it as his first film released under his imprint. Now, I don't trust Lorenzo much at all... BUT - I have big heaping loads of trust for Darren Aronofsky and BATMAN YEAR ONE!

Meanwhile, I've also been told some details about the BATMAN VS SUPERMAN now dormant project. It is absolutely true that Academy (hackhackriggedhackhack) Award winning screenwriter Akiva (BATMAN & ROBIN and A BEAUTIFUL MIND) Goldsman is rewriting Andrew Kevin Walker's script... We all know that Andrew's scripts needed the golden touch of Akiva's. I mean, can you imagine how much better SEVEN or SLEEPY HOLLOW could have been?

Apparently the basic story is that Bruce Wayne is about to be engaged when his fiance is killed in a plane accident that somehow involved SUPERMAN trying to save it. Bruce blames SUPERMAN and thus we end up with the two guys going at it for the vast majority of the film, till they figure out that it is the evil Lex Luthor, who set it all up to pit the two against one another hoping that they'd kill each other. That's what I've heard. Moriarty and I are keeping our eyes on the look for both of these scripts. Till later --- Harry
