Merrick here...
Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

First off, I want to say again I am impressed at the reaction to my Science of Avatar article. The talkback was great, and I've had hundreds of thought-provoking emails. I've even been invited to speak at the St. Louis Science Center in October where they are having a week-long festival on the Science of Avatar. I don't think it is officially announced yet, but I'll be there the weekend of October 16-17, and for at least one of my talks, I'm turning that article into a more in-depth presentation.

Irish Rican here -
Here's the red band trailer for Kevin Smith's COP OUT- which will be hitting theaters February 26th. Seems like the red band trailer brings out the film's vibe a bit better then the green trailer - movie is going to be just a bit filthy.
These trailers still give no clue what this movie is about but at least the red band will make you laugh out loud.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with something a little different. When you go to a film festival the focus is almost always on what’s new. You look forward and not back. Typically. At most festivals there’s a retrospective element, like at Sundance they did a screening of Harold & Maude, one of the great American dark comedies, but those are usually not the priority.

Hey folks, Harry here with news that's pretty much well suspected, but I believe this is the first time Bill has confirmed not just his involvement, but how he'd be involved... although I do believe Harold Ramis mentioned this at some point. Here ya go:

Hey folks, Harry here with a handsome spot for PRINCE OF PERSIA. I just kind of wished it starred Naveen Andrews. But I guess I was fine with Kerwin Matthews, John Phillip Law and Patrick Wayne... well, maybe not Patrick Wayne... as Sinbad in the Harryhausen films. But this really does LOOK sharp, if not completely devoid of "give a shit". Here it is:

A trailer has been posted for Jason Thompson and Victor Hao's graphic novel King of RPGs. Reviewed here, I'd suggest that if you share its enthusiasm for pen and paper RPGs, it's a comic not to miss.
Bonus points if you can identify the background music.
