BATTLE ROYALE 2 plot update!

Hey folks, Harry here... Our lucky Australian brothers and sisters have the good fortune this weekend of walking into a cinema near them to see the cinematic triumph that was the original BATTLE ROYALE... Meanwhile here in the land of the free and home of the brave, there is still no release for BATTLE ROYALE... Nothing to say you can't own a copy, but other than a few independent theaters that dealt directly with TOHO for limited engagements, there has been no studio that had the cojones to pony up the money to acquire North American distribution rights to release this film for the American public to enjoy or be outraged at. Meanwhile... Over at BrokenSunglasses.Com you can order your own... Battle Royale choker... the fashion accessory for the Junior High kid in your family! And back in Japan, work continues on BATTLE ROYALE 2. It definitely seems that controversy is not being averted on this series... and that it continues to push buttons to cause reactions. Definitely not sanatized fare for all! Here ya go...

Hey Harry.

I dont know if you've seen any of this before or not, but this wicked ass site,

BR2.BattleRoyaleFilm.Com

has all kinds of goodies from the next installment of a movie i like to thing was forged by the hands of god, then sent down to Kinji Fukusaku to realize it for mortal eyes to comprehend.

Heres the lowdown on the plot:

It's three years after the events of the original Battle Royale, and Shuya Nanahara (Tatsuya Fujiwara), one of the survivors, is now an internationally-known terrorist determined to bring down the government. His group, Wild Seven, consists largely of survivors of previous Battle Royales (or is it "Battles Royale"?), and have been successfully staging terrorist attacks for the past three years.

When a Christmas day attack that levels several buildings in Tokyo (including the twin towers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building) and kills 8000 people is attributed to Wild Seven, the government enacts the "New Century Terrorist Counter-Measure Alternative" program, a.k.a. the BR2 act, and sends the forty-two students of Shikanotori Junior High Class 3-B to hunt Nanahara and his cohorts down in their island stronghold. In order for the government to study the benefits of "teamwork," the new students work in pairs, with their collars electronically linked so that if one of them is killed, the other dies as well.

Im sending this because, minus the news of Sonny Chiba and the tragic death of Kinji Fukusaku, i havent really seen much of an update on this site and i know your a big fan of the movie.  So i hope you enjoy.
