Wait... was it my seaman sense or was it Moriarty that told me that? Seaman/Moriarty? Seaman/Moriarty? So similar I get them confused sometimes! You understand, I'm sure... The-Sugoi, a French gaming site, has Yoji Shinkawa's Earth Defense Force armor and ship designs (CLICK HERE... YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!!!). Shinkawa was the mechanical designer for Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. Also, the credits for Godzilla: Final Wars will be done by Kyle Cooper of Imaginary Forces, who did the credits for Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. Film credits of Imaginary Forces include Se7en, Charlie's Angels, Hellboy, and Spider-Man, as well as the pre-cognitive visualizations of Minority Report.
As if it wasn't already bloody apparent from the talent involved, Godzilla: Final Wars is NOT your grandfather's Godzilla movie. At this point, I'm half-expecting Godzilla to do a spin-kick off a skyscraper during his world tour.
With Kitamura (who directed the cutscenes of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes), Shinkawa, and Cooper all definitely on board, rumor has it Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima himself may be contributing in some unspecified, perhaps uncredited, capacity.
