GODZILLA website live plus some interesting pre-production art!!! Click it here, boyos!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with yet more GODZILLA: FINAL WARS goodies. Up front is a link to the official Japanese website for the film... There you will find pics and even a short definition of a teaser trailer. My seaman sense tells me that Kitamura's cut of the trailer will be out in the very, very near future... Wait... was it my seaman sense or was it Moriarty that told me that? Seaman/Moriarty? Seaman/Moriarty? So similar I get them confused sometimes! You understand, I'm sure... Anyway, check out the website and then head even further south on this page and find out a sort of summery of what video-game masterminds are doing on the project, including a little ship design sketch!!!

And now for the pre-production artwork from the people behind tons of cool-ass video games!!! Check it out!!!

The-Sugoi, a French gaming site, has Yoji Shinkawa's Earth Defense Force armor and ship designs (CLICK HERE... YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!!!). Shinkawa was the mechanical designer for Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. Also, the credits for Godzilla: Final Wars will be done by Kyle Cooper of Imaginary Forces, who did the credits for Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. Film credits of Imaginary Forces include Se7en, Charlie's Angels, Hellboy, and Spider-Man, as well as the pre-cognitive visualizations of Minority Report.

As if it wasn't already bloody apparent from the talent involved, Godzilla: Final Wars is NOT your grandfather's Godzilla movie. At this point, I'm half-expecting Godzilla to do a spin-kick off a skyscraper during his world tour.

With Kitamura (who directed the cutscenes of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes), Shinkawa, and Cooper all definitely on board, rumor has it Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima himself may be contributing in some unspecified, perhaps uncredited, capacity.
