Hey folks, Harry here... Well - seems that the official trades have begun to catch up officially with AICN. Back in April, Moriarty announced that Darren Aronofsky had officially committed to making the WATCHMEN movie... However, Today was the official announcement. Then last Sunday, I informed you that Dreamworks and specifically Steven Spielberg had taken a very aggressive move into acquiring the rights to make a TRANSFORMERS live action film. Well the trades are confirming that as well right now. Seems that not only is Dreamworks on board, but Paramount is co-producing and taking the International Distribution. And for Spielberg's Rhode Island trip, he'll be the Executive Producer on the film, which already has Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy aboard. That being said, there was no mention of Zemeckis' involvement, which my sources at CAA swear up and down is the case, but that deal may still be in the sway. We'll see. BUT both projects are officially moving down the road, just as we said... a long long time ago...
