Want KNB To Make You A Zombie Next Tuesday'! Here

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

If you were able to leave your message on the RSVP line that was posted yesterday for the SHAUN OF THE DEAD screening, then consider yourself RSVP’d. I think Focus Films was shocked by how fast the screening filled up, and they did something really cool today. They called to offer a chance for 10 more of you to go to the screening with special VIP seating. Even better... you get to be a zombie.

KNB is one of the coolest f’ing FX houses in the makeup field, guys who started old school and who are keeping the art alive. They’ve volunteered to turn 10 of you into zombies for next week’s screening. You’ll go to a special secret location on Tuesday and get made up, and then report to the Arclight where you’ll be able to terrorize everyone to your heart’s content. All you have to do to enter is answer the following questions:

What sequel to George Romero’s classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD gave Greg Nicotero his first job on a zombie picture as an assistant to Tom Savini?

In that same film, Nicotero also plays a character. What is the character’s name?

Finally, in that same film, there is a MR. ROGERS NEIGHBORHOOD alumni appearing as a featured zombie. Who is that actor?

Which film did Moriarty recently rave about on this site because of an infamous scene that can be summed up as “ZOMBIE VERSUS SHARK! ZOMBIE VERSUS SHARK!”?

Who directed the classic film I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE?

Which Bela Lugosi film shares a name with a popular heavy metal band from the ‘90s?

What is the announced title of the upcoming return of George A. Romero to his classic zombie creations?

Who is providing the zombie makeup effects for that film?

Who is the only actor to play the same role in both Romero’s NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD as well as the Tom Savini remake?

Finally, an essay question. If you were a zombie, who would you eat first, and why?

Send those entries to my e-mail address and make sure to put “ZOMBIE CONTEST” in the header. I’ll be picking ten of you out of all the entries that have the answers correct. Send all your entries by Friday morning at 9:00 AM EST. In the meantime, you can take part in some other fun SHAUN-related competitions by clicking here, where you'll find an official site for the film where members can get new information and complete challenges in order to accumulate points. Those points can be redeemed for film related prizes and exclusive content.

This is going to be enormous fun, and we’ll try to document the transformation for the site. All good monster kids have got to try for this one. It’s a dream... er... nightmare... come true!

"Moriarty" out.
