TROY scribe David Benioff writing WOLVERINE spin-off flick!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit from Variety about David Benioff being hired by 20th Century Fox to write the WOLVERINE spin-off flick while X3 lingers. I've always loved Wolverine and I unabashedly love TROY, so I guess I'm cool with this news. Now all they need to do is attach a great director and this'll be one to watch. Hugh Jackman is great as Wolvie, so as long as he does X-Men movies instead of VAN HELSING flicks, I'll be happy. But where does this really put X3? Will it happen? Will we see the Phoenix saga without Singer? Or will X3 just be a what-if film, one that almost happened? What about WOLVERINE: THE MOVIE? Will we see a Sabertooth that isn't a crappy wrestler in a bad facial prosthetic? X-Men cameos? Other Marvel cameos? What do you folks think?
