Word is there might be a bit of scoopage in a interview with Joss Whedon conducted by TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello.

Whedon reportedly does not reveal if he wants a white woman to play Princess Diana in “Wonder Woman,” but Ausiello tells Ain’t It Cool that Whedon does say something about the Amazon warrior’s age in the movie.

Ausiello also says he got Joss to say something about a possible Spike-centric Buffiverse TV-movie. Something new. Something Whedon did not say at that Los Angeles comic-book convention on Sunday.

But back to “Wonder Woman.” Two other recent developments:

1) At that comic book convention on Sunday? While discussing “Wonder Woman” casting, Whedon glanced at “Firefly”-“Serenity” star Morena Baccarin (a pleasant-looking olive-skinned brunette) and said, “Where will I find a dark-haired olive-skinned beauty?”

2) In an earlier TV Guide interview, Whedon said Diana would not be wearing the star-spangled panties popularized in the Lynda Carter TV series. Remember now that the old-school comic-book Diana favored a star-spangled miniskirt. Remember also that when Bryan Singer made “X-Men,” he just dressed all the mutants in black pleated pleather.

At 3 a.m. Eastern time (midnight Pacific time), Ausiello’s Whedony scoopage should be found here.
