FINALES & SPECIALS HIGHLIGHT ABC’S MAY SCHEDULE

ABC Announces Two-Hour Season Finales for “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and “Boston Legal”

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” Airs its Two-Hour Season Finale and Becomes Longest Running Entertainment Program in ABC History

“Alias” Two-Hour Series Finale Airs May 22

ABC Television Network today announced a lineup of finales and specials to air this May. Among the special events will be the two-hour season finales of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and “Boston Legal.” A very special two-hour season finale for “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” during which the show celebrates its status as the longest running entertainment program in ABC history, is also scheduled.

Additional special programming will include the two-hour series finale of “Alias” and “Stephen King’s Desperation,” a three-hour movie event. Season finales for “Invasion” and “What About Brian” will also air.

Dates and time periods for May finales and specials are as follows:

9:00-11:00 p.m. “Boston Legal” (two-hour season finale)

Wednesday, May 17
10:01-11:00 p.m. “Invasion” (season finale)

Thursday, May 18
8:00-11:00 p.m. “Stephen King’s Desperation”

Friday, May 19
8:00-10:00 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (two-hour season finale) Celebration for longest running entertainment program

Sunday, May 21
7:00-9:00 p.m. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (two-hour season finale)
9:00-11:00 p.m. “Desperate Housewives” (two-hour season finale)

Monday, May 22
9:00-11:00 p.m. “Alias” (two-hour series finale)

Production information is as follows:

“What About Brian” stars Barry Watson as Brian, Matthew Davis as Adam, Sarah Lancaster as Marjorie, Rick Gomez as Dave, Amanda Detmer as Deena, Rosanna Arquette as Nic and Raoul Bova as Angelo. The creator/executive producer of “What About Brian” is Dana Stevens and the executive producers are J.J. Abrams (“Lost,” “Alias”), Jeff Judah, Gabe Sachs, Thom Sherman and Bryan Burk. The co-executive producer is Dan Lerner. The producer is Carol Trussel. The series is produced by Touchstone Television in association with Bad Robot.

“Grey’s Anatomy” stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, T.R. Knight as George O’Malley, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Katherine Heigl as Isobel “Izzie” Stevens, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, Isaiah Washington as Preston Burke, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev and Kate Walsh as Addison Forbes Montgomery Shepherd. The series was created by Shonda Rhimes (“Introducing Dorothy Dandridge”). Rhimes, Mark Gordon (“Saving Private Ryan”), Betsy Beers (“Casanova”), James Parriott (“The American Embassy”) and Peter Horton are executive producers. “Grey’s Anatomy” is a Touchstone Television Production.

“Boston Legal” stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Julie Bowen as Denise Bauer, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rene Auberjonois as Paul Lewiston, with Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt and William Shatner as Denny Crane. “Boston Legal” was created by David E. Kelley. Kelley, Bill D’Elia and Janet Leahy are executive producers. The series is produced by David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television

The “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” design team includes Ty Pennington, Eduardo Xol, Tanya McQueen, Paul DiMeo, Michael Moloney, Paige Hemmis, Daniel Kucan, Ed Sanders, Preston Sharp and Tracy Hutson. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. The series is executive-produced by Tom Forman. Denise Cramsey is the co-executive producer.

“Invasion” stars William Fichtner as Sheriff Tom Underlay, Eddie Cibrian as Russell Varon, Lisa Sheridan as Larkin Groves, Kari Matchett as Dr. Mariel Underlay, Tyler Labine as Dave Groves, Evan Peters as Jesse Varon, Ariel Gade as Rose Varon, Alexis Dziena as Kira Underlay and Aisha Hinds as Mona Gomez. Shaun Cassidy created the series and serves as executive producer. Lawrence Trilling (director – “Alias,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Scrubs”) is co-executive producer and multiple Emmy Award-winning director Thomas Schlamme (“The West Wing,” “ER,” “Sports Night”) is executive consultant. “Invasion” is from Shaun Cassidy Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television Production Inc.

“Stephen King’s Desperation” stars Tom Skerritt as Johnny Marinville, Steven Weber as Steve Ames, Annabeth Gish as Mary Jackson, Ron Perlman as Collie Entragian, Shane Haboucha as David Carver, Kelly Overton as Cynthia, Matt Frewer as Ralph Carver, Sylva Kelegian as Ellie Carver, Charles Durning as Tom Billingsley, Sammi Hanratty as Pie Carver, Henry Thomas as Peter Jackson, Ewan Chung as Shih, Alain Uy as Cha’an, Trieu Tran as young Viet, Tom Parker as young Johnny and Darren Victoria as Brian Ross. “Stephen King’s Desperation” was executive-produced by Mick Garris (“Riding the Bullet,” “Stephen King’s The Shining,” “Stephen King’s The Stand”), Stephen King and Mark Sennet (“Martin and Lewis,” “Dr. Vegas,” “K Street”). Garris also served as director. The film is from Sennet-Gernstein Entertainment in association with Touchstone Television.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” is from Vin Di Bona productions. Vin Di Bona is executive producer, with Todd Thicke and Terry Moore serving as co-executive producers.

“Desperate Housewives” stars Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van De Kamp, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis, Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt, Alfre Woodard as Betty Applewhite, Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young, James Denton as Mike Delfino, Doug Savant as Tom Scavo, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Carlos Solis, Mark Moses as Paul Young, Richard Burgi as Karl Mayer, Cody Kasch as Zach Young, Andrea Bowen as Julie Mayer, Shawn Pyfrom as Andrew Van De Kamp, Joy Lauren as Danielle Van De Kamp, Shane and Brent Kinsman as Porter and Preston Scavo, Mehcad Brooks as Matthew Applewhite and Nashawn Kearse as Caleb Applewhite. “Lost” stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Mr. Eko, Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie, Terry O’Quinn as Locke, Harold Perrineau as Michael, Michelle Rodriguez as Ana Lucia and Cynthia Watros as Libby. The series was created by Jeffrey Lieber and J.J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof. Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse serve as executive producers. “Lost,” which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii, is from Touchstone Television.
