Has STAR TREK 10 Been Drydocked'!

Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

Ten days and counting...

That's how long Paramount has to figure out whether or not they're going to make STAR TREK 10, or STAR TREK: NEMESIS, as the scripts are called for the moment.

We originally started following a rumor that Michael Dorn wasn't going to sign to be in the film over script differences, but just as we got confirmation that there was a debate going on, they settled it.

Now they just have to get the rest of the cast. And according to several sources, that isn't going to be easy. Seems the principal players are making demands, and Paramount isn't meeting them. And there are power games being played. And they might not be able to make the deadly tight schedule they're locked into. See, Patrick Stewart has to leave to work on X-MEN 2 later this year, and that date is already locked. Which means STAR TREK has a narrow window of opportunity, and it's either get Picard now or wait until late next year to try and put this picture together.

So as monetary figures are tossed back and forth, and as the cast holds Paramount's feet to the fire, the clock is ticking...

Ten days and counting. What's it going to be, Paramount?

"Moriarty" out.
