Attn: Jason fans! Huge FRIDAY THE 13TH screening and book signing!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here watching (strangely enough) the extras disc from that FRIDAY THE 13TH box set that I finally just picked up. I got an email from Geoff Garrett from Crystal Lake Entertainment, the folks who are putting out that sweet looking Friday the 13th Coffee Table book, about a big screening and book signing in LA. There are tons of cast and crew from the FRIDAY series that'll be at the big book signing, including composer Harry Manfredini (!!!), the directors of FRIDAY THE 13TH 1, JASON TAKES MANHATTAN, JASON GOES TO HELL, JASON LIVES and THE FINAL CHAPTER and, of course, the author of the book, Peter M. Bracke. There are tons more, mostly cast from the films, so be sure to go the website Geoff talks about to find out all the details.
The event is in LA on October 22nd and is a tad pricey at $65, but that price includes the coffee table book (retail $39.95), a ticket to the screening of the original FRIDAY THE 13TH on the City Walk with Sean S. Cunningham in attendance and also gets you into the after screening party/book signing. There's also a cheaper ticket ($32-ish I think) that gets you into the party and screening, but not the book. I have no idea if I'm going to be anywhere near LA on the 22nd, but if I was, I'd totally be hitting this since I'm a huge FRIDAY THE 13TH fan. Figured other sick bastards like myself would like to know! Here's the email with the info!
Hey Quint,
Geoff Garrett from Crystal Lake Entertainment here. Long time no email. :) Hope all is well with you.
I’m writing because I’m working with author Peter Bracke on putting together a really cool upcoming event this October that I wanted to let you know about.
Teaming up with Screamfest LA, New Line Cinema & Sideshow Collectibles, we are throwing a big 25th Anniversary & Book Launching Party at Universal City walk on Saturday, October 22nd from 7pm to Midnight. We’ve got 30+ Friday the 13th Alumni attending to autograph the first copies of Peter’s book Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th. I’ve seen early pages from the book and it looks amazing. Check out the cover below.
We’re starting with a screening of the original F13 with a Q&A by Sean Cunningham immediately following is the big party were fans can mingle with the F13 alumni.
Here’s a link to the party info:

I was hoping that you could give a shout out to all the Aint-It-Cool-News folks cause we want to pack the theater with the biggest Friday the 13th fans around.
Best regards,
Geoff Garrett
