"A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!" a special featuring songs composed by Broadway’s “Cry Baby” team of Adam Schlesinger (of Fountains of Wayne fame) and “Daily Show” executive producer David Javerbaum, will air Nov. 23 on Comedy Central and hit DVD two days later.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the high-concept premise:

[Stephen] Colbert will be snowed in at his cabin in upstate New York and will pass the time with his musically inclined friends.
