Actually a friend of mine had an idea of remaking hollywood movies with our own budget which would be like $100.00. It was in response to all the shitty remakes of movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Omen, ect. I'm glad Gondry came up with this, although his intentions were probably less cynical. I think it would be a cool contest idea for AICN to have us do our own five minute low budget - no budget remake of a big budget hollywood movie. Top prize of course being chocolate covered pussy juice.

This site, for the veterans of 10+ years feel a mite alienated by some of the new guys because of the lack of connection. Moriarty is the only one with conviction around here, and I used to hate reading whatever that guy had to write. Moriarty can and has stepped out of this site's shadow to do other things, yet this pack of "contributors" condescend in a great deal of topic set-ups. For once I would love to see a topic about "RANDOM MOVIE PROJECT" to not begin with, "well, I'm not a huge fan of this franchise", or "I didn't grow up with this franchise so I lack the enthsiasm soem of you may have" but here, I'll shovel some recycled news for you that already ran days ago at another website.

but I can see that you are an individual who will see this movie simply to see the beast eat people and destroy things. I have read the reviews and I'm not impressed. I'm not impressed because I, like most people, like to see good overcome evil. With the spoilers we know that the main characters won't survive. Another question, why the heads? Why not eat the entire person unless it is just after the human brain....this movie is a horror all right....horribly sick.

Yeah I hear what you are saying about this site. I've been going here since the late 90's. But I was a long time listener first time caller until earlier this year. Mainly because before I came to this site to read articles and such. But this year I mainly come to post TB's because the articles have been lacking. I am more interested in TB then I am with the articles. I am not gonna throw hate towards Harry because the man did have a busy year, and we owe him gratitude for what he's done. Maybe he has become too mainstream i don't know. But yeah I have yet to come to this site and read some ground breaking news this year. Also the reviews have been very slim. Not in the amount but in the variety. There will be like 20 reviews for the same movie. Maybe its getting harder to get juciy nerd news? But yeah I feel what you are saying about lack of connection. Also there has been very little hate from the highups on this site, everything that comes from Harry is usually positive, except for his DVD article, which has been the best thing on this site as of recent. But wheres a pissed off review of a bad movie, like The Fog last year. Yeah there have been good movies this year but they haven't all been spectacular. Also the whole year of the Aptow has brought things down on this site. Hopefully Walk Hard bombing will knock them off of their high horse.
